Hardy Signs joined the whole of Burton in adding its own congratulations to Burton Albion FC on their successful promotion to the Football League.
The company joined in the celebrations by designing, supplying and fitting the banners and signs on the two open-top buses used by the team, its Club Directors, families and club members on their promotion parade around the Town before and after their Civic Reception last Saturday.
On the Arriva buses, loaned by the company’s depots in Rhyl and Aintree, and dating from 1973 and 1983, Hardy Signs fitted full-length side banners with additional promotional signage from leading local companies, Coors and Pirelli.
The fronts of both vehicles proudly carried full-colour PVC banners, featuring the Team’s celebrations in Torquay, after their final game of the season which clinched their promotion to League 2.
Designed by Adam Bates at Hardy Signs, the heavy duty banners proudly bore the logos for Blue Square, the sponsors and the Brewers own black and yellow device. The banners on the fronts of the buses were mirrored on the back of each vehicle, with bright yellow and black banners saluting the Club’s members and supporters.
The open top parade around the Town was watched by several thousand supporters and residents of Burton who loudly cheered the winning team, its Manager, Roy McFarland and Chairman, Ben Robinson.
Tom Hardy from Hardy Signs carried out the surveys on each bus to ensure the signs were an exact fit and then specified short-term self-adhesive vinyl for the promotional banners enabling their safe removal from the exteriors of the buses at the conclusion of the Parade. |
