Burton’s leading signs contractor has designed, manufactured and installed new exterior lettering, but with several key differences at The Orangery, located at
Barton Turns Marina. Part of the new Waterfront pub and eatery at the
narrow boat centre on the Trent and Mersey canal, near the village of Barton under Needwood, the dining area is also known as the Quarterdeck.
The brainchild of local entrepreneur and businessman Barry Morgan, The Waterfront is the in-place, proving extremely popular with guests and visitors throughout the Festive Season. And the venue looks like it will continue to be the ‘in-place’ as its signage is keen to promote.
Hardy Signs created the signage using 6mm, individually cut, aluminium lettering, mounted on steel rods. This gives the effect of making the letters appear to float
away from the clad surface.
Greater definition is achieved for each letter as our photographs of the installed lettering clearly show.
The contractor exploited the two levels of the fascia cladding to add a further dimension to the separate sets of lettering.
For the main sign for The Waterfront, Hardy Signs used hand gilded genuine copper leaf to give the complete traditional feel. The copper leaf makes an excellent
complement to the pale grey-green fascia.
On either side of the main sign, powder coated blue finished lettering - ‘The Place to Be’ - was installed matching the Waterfront’s corporate style and colours.
