Part of the face of High Street in Burton has changed with Hardy Signs work for the Smith Partnership.
The Partnership, one of the largest firms of lawyers in the region, has welcomed Drewry and Newbold to their organisation which builds a stronger practice for Burton and district clientsReflecting this linking of the two professional practices, Hardy Signs designed, manufactured and installed new fascias for the two adjoining premises.
The strong corporate identity has been maintained on numbers 45 and 46 High Street with the fascia running the complete width of the two buildings. Raised PVC lettering was applied to new fascia panels finished in purpose-mixed red paint to the practice’s corporate guidelines.
Other exterior decoration was also competed by Hardy Signs to the doors and windows.Architectural features to the ends of the fascias were designed, manufactured and fitted by Hardy Signs. These reflect the listed building status of the premises.
Planning applications for the complete project were managed by Tom Hardy for the signs’ company working closely with the client and the local authorities. A compromise was reached during planning for the signage which had been originally designed with illumination. But this was considered not in keeping with the location nor listed status of the buildings.
However, as Tom Hardy pointed out ‘the final design and installation has created an outstanding, eye-catching fascia, that maximises the impact of the Smith Partnership name, whilst maintaining the character and outward appearance of numbers 45 and 46’.
