This month, Burton’s leading sign makers, Hardy Signs Ltd, have completed the design, manufacture and installation of a prestigious new scheme of signage at the new home of Visit Britain in Palace Street, London.
The multi-storey, listed building overlooking Buckingham Palace itself, now houses the central offices for Visit Britain and Visit England – the organisations responsible for the entire tourism industry in the UK.
Working closely with the brand management team at Visit Britain, Hardy Signs created a range of signage and interior décor for the offices which complement the corporate image and portray the high quality feel that is required.
The figure head pieces of the project comprise of raised acrylic sign panels with multi layer acrylic logos applied to the face. This is then finished with a digital print to accurately match the corporate guidelines. All edges of the acrylics are flame polished and the entire sign is raised on stainless steel locator fixings. Several of these stunning signs have been used throughout the building, some as large as 2 metres in length.
In addition to the signage, many of the offices within the building are partitioned with large expanses of glass which Hardy Signs have put to good use. Using a range of specifically design frosted films applied directly to the glass, the signage team were able to create stylish and contemporary display with the added privacy factor for the various rooms. Visit Britain and Visit England’s corporate logos have been integrated to continue the identity throughout.
Visit Britain Project Manager Alan Rowley commented, “Having worked with Hardy Signs on a number of occasions in the past, including similar projects for Visit Britain within the capital, we were more than confident in their level of service”
“The completed signs and décor within the centre are stunning and are an ideal representation of the organisation’s image… one that is presented to visiting tourists from across the globe.” |
