Advantage Hardy Signs

5th November 2007

Burton’s signs and signage experts Hardys Signs, has just acquired an additional Renault van for its fleet of eye-catching bright blue vehicles frequently spotted around the town and the Midlands.

The Falcon Close-based business took delivery of the trusted Renault Master 2.5 DCi 120bhp van from Sutton Park Motor Company of Lichfield Street in Burton.

Hardy Signs is experiencing more work than ever in its 14-year history, thanks to word of mouth and a solid reputation in the design, supply, and installation of signs for local and nationwide customers.

Company founder and Managing Director Nik Hardy felt it was time to enhance the fleet, and turned to local Renault dealer Sutton Park.

Nik said: “We had a good look around at what was available. We went for the Renault Master because all in all we thought it was a good value product and represented the best all-round package, including low running costs.

We need vans of that size because we do a lot of installation work and prefer to protect our signs by transporting them inside the van, rather than on the roof”.

The award-winning Renault Master range of vans, scooped the prestigious What Van? Magazine ‘Van of the Year’ title. The 2007 models have been specially adapted to meet the needs of ‘professionals’ at work; with low 1.67m, medium 1.912m and high roof 2.146m versions, on three wheelbase lengths of 3.078m, 3.587m and 4.078m.

“When Nik visited our showroom and told me he was looking for a van to safely carry larger signs, flag poles and all their erecting equipment, I had no doubt that the Master
van was the perfect answer”, added Sid Bartlam, Sales Executive at Sutton Park.

“Being 50% larger than the other vans in the Hardy fleet, it’s a major advantage that Hardy’s can now exploit”, he continued. “The new Master has added driver and passenger comfort and safety. It’s much more attractive for their fitting teams on long distance work away from Burton”.

The Master was supplied in Pacific Blue non-metallic that complements Hardy Signs’ corporate colour.
